Reporting a faulty street light

In order to assist us in maintaining our street lights, you can report a faulty street light. If you are unsure if you are located within the United Energy electricity distribution network, please refer to the faults and emergency number located on your electricity bill.

  • Call our faults and emergencies line on 132 099

If you have previously reported a street lighting fault and it has not been fixed after 7 business days, you can escalate the matter to our Customer Relations team (customerrelations@ue.com.au).

Our obligations

Our service providers are responsible for providing maintenance services to the existing public lighting assets in accordance with the Essential Services Commission Public Lighting Code.

New lighting - Council and VicRoads obligations

United Energy is not the responsible authority for determining new lighting requirements. Should you wish for new lighting to be installed, please contact your local council (or VicRoads for defined arterial roads).
